Girls hockey: Fargo North-South skates to shutout win over West Fargo United

FARGO — Rylee Bartz tallied a hat trick to lift Fargo North-South to a 4-0 North Dakota girls hockey victory over West Fargo United at the Fargo Coliseum.

Bartz scored early in the second period to put North-South up 1-0 after a scoreless first frame. Bartz tacked on two more goals in the third. She also assisted an Evelyn Olson goal in the third period to finish with four points. Lindsey Astrup dished out two assists. Elsie Anderson, Sara Stich and Emma Burris each had one assist.

The Spruins held a 39-18 advantage in shots on goal. North-South goalie Savannah Wuitschick recorded 18 saves for the shutout.

United goalie Maggie Seeley tallied 35 saves.

North-South improved to 9-4 overall and has won seven of its last eight games. United had its four-game win streak snapped, falling to 9-6-1 overall.
