Girls hockey: Seven Fargo-area players named to All-State team

The 14-player team announced Thursday includes stars from Fargo Davies, Fargo North-South and West Fargo United.

FARGO — Seven Fargo-area players are among 14 North Dakota skaters and goalies named to the 2022 All-State Girls Hockey Team.
The team's forwards include Rylee Bartz of state champion Fargo North-South, and Fargo Davies forwards Morgan Sauvageau, Taylor Severson and Olivia Opheim.
The team's defense includes Davies' Kaylie Zimmerman and North-South's Allie Emineth. West Fargo United's Maggie Seeley was one of two goalies named to the team.
The other team members are Jamestown forward Bernadette Belzer, Grand Forks forward Averi Greenwood, Minot forward Taylyn Cope, Bismarck forward Brenna Curl, Jamestown defenseman Alexis Kirkeby, Minot defenseman Emily Thiele and Minot goalie Jillian Ackerman.
