Girls soccer: Rylee Bartz leads Fargo North past Grand Forks Central

North battled back in the second half to claim the win

FARGO — Fargo North came back to claim a 2-1 win over Grand Forks Central on Saturday in Eastern Dakota Conference girls soccer.

Hannah Hynek scored in the first half to put Grand Forks Central up 1-0. North answered in the second half when Rylee Bartz scored off a corner kick from Ahna Haugo, knotting it at 1-1. Bartz then put North ahead when she scored on a penalty kick.

North rose to 3-1-2 both overall and in the EDC. The Spartans are scheduled to play at Grand Forks Red River at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
