Metro high school volleyball roundup for Tuesday, Oct. 4

Fargo South 3, GF Red River 2

FARGO — Fargo South rallied from two sets down to defeat Grand Forks Red River 19-25, 24-26, 25-21, 25-19, 15-6 in an Eastern Dakota Conference match on Tuesday.

South’s Emma Dalby had a big night with 22 kills, four ace serves and 2-1/2 blocks. Gen Gard had 15 kills and 20 digs.

Alivia Abel had 12 kills and 1-1/2 blocks, Teigan Malo had seven kills and Maddie Jackson finished with 55 set assists. Nina Majetich had 22 digs and Amelia Hawley had 12 digs and served two aces.

Fargo South now is 14-4 overall and 14-2 in EDC while Grand Forks Red River dropped to 10-8 overall and 7-8 in the EDC.

WF Sheyenne 3, WF Horace 0

HORACE — Reagan Bogenreif had 14 kills and West Fargo Sheyenne kept its record unblemished with a 25-14, 25-19, 25-16 win over Horace in an EDC match on Tuesday.


Bogenrief also served three aces and seven digs. Khloe Brown had eight kills, Izzy Albrecht and Kailee Waasdorp both had seven kills, and Waasdorp also had 10 digs.

Brooke Johnson had 21 set assists and Kennedy Colter had 16 assists.

Sheyenne improved to 18-0 overall and 17-0 in the EDC. Horace is 7-11 overall and 8-8 in the EDC.

Fargo North 3, Fargo Shanley 0

FARGO — Solid work on the front and back rows helped Fargo North down Fargo Shanley 25-19, 27-25, 25-10 in an EDC match on Tuesday.

Audrey Rydell led North with nine kills, Reagan Carlson had eight and Betsy Schiltz had seven. Haydn Tollefson had three blocks, Rydell had 1-1/2 and Calrson and Anna Nelson both had one.

Schiltz also had 25 set assists and eight digs. Evy Berg had 18 digs and served three aces and Solei Berg had 13 digs and served three aces. Grace Holm had two aces.

Shanley is 10-7 overall and 9-7 in the EDC. North is 16-3 overall and 11-5 in the EDC.

Fargo Davies 3, Devils Lake 0

FARGO — Cayla Sailer had 16 kills to lead Fargo Davies to a 25-10, 25-10, 25-23 win over Devils Lake in an EDC match on Tuesday.


McKenzie Olson and Leah Laqua both finished with nine kills. Laqua also served four aces and Olson was among three players — Sailer and Haley Horner — with eight digs. Horner also had 34 set assists.

Devils Lake’s Jadyn Frelich had 12 kills and Claire Heilman had 10 kills.

Fargo Davies is 10-7 overall and 10-5 in the EDC. Devils Lake is 1-6 overall and 0-14 in the EDC.

West Fargo 3, Wahpeton 0

WEST FARGO — West Fargo broke out strong and swept Wahpeton 25-12, 25-12, 27-25 in an EDC match on Tuesday.

West Fargo’s Ellee McIntosh had 10 kills and served two aces. Riley Guscette had eight kills and Ali Halvorson and Grace Wehri both had five kills. Halvorson also served four aces.

Setter Olivia Soine had 32 set assists and Raina Chwialkowski served four aces and had 21 digs.

West Fargo improved to 11-6 overall and 10-3 in the EDC. Wahpeton is 2-16 overall and 1-13 in the EDC.

Central Cass 3, Fargo Oak Grove 0

FARGO — Central Cass defeated Oak Grove 25-15, 25-17, 25-22 in a Region 1 contest on Tuesday.


Fargo Oak Grove fell to 10-8 overall and 5-2 in Region 1. Central Cass now is 21-6 overall and 6-1 in Region 1.

Moorhead 3, DGF 2

MOORHEAD — Moorhead dominated the final two sets and defeated Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 21-25, 22-25, 25-21, 25-12, 15-2 in a non-conference match on Tuesday.

The Spuds' Grace Perry had 16 kills, blocked four shots and had 14 digs. Annie Horan had 15 kills and eight blocks. Grace Bathurst had nine kills and three blocks.

Madden Bogenreif had 25 set assists, Alexa Krueger had seven kills and 18 digs, and Lauren Peterson had 21 digs.

The Rebels’ Peyton Backes had seven kills and Lindsey Nevala finished with 14 set assists and three ace serves. Camille Costello had 16 digs and served two aces.

Moorhead improved to 6-8 overall while DGF fell to 5-11 overall.

Park Christian 3, LP-Audubon 0

LAKE PARK, Minn. — Moorhead Park Christian defeated 25-10, 25-18, 25-17 in a Pine to Prairie Conference match on Tuesday.

Park Christian’s Andie Sandman had 16 kills and Brooklyn Fuchs had eight kills and 1-1/2 blocks. Belle Suchert also had 1-1/2 blocks.

Mia Metzger had 28 set assists, Avery Aakre had 19 digs and Jadyn Rude had nine, and Rude and Ruth Harris both served two aces.

Park Christian upped its record to 13-5 overall. Lake Park-Audubon fell to 1-12 overall.
