MOORHEAD — Amber Fugleberg has been named the new head volleyball coach at Moorhead High School, the school announced Tuesday morning on Twitter.
Fugleberg is a 2014 Moorhead graduate and former Spuds volleyball player. She has been an assistant coach at Moorhead for the past seven years.
Fugleberg graduated from Minnesota State Moorhead in 2018 and teaches at Horizon Middle School. She replaces longtime head volleyball coach Char Lien, who announced her retirement in November after 23 years at the helm.
Lien took over as head coach in the fall of 1999. The Spuds made the state tournament 10 times during her two-plus decades at the helm, most recently in 2019.
