Fargo Davies won the first of four Class A boys state quarterfinal games at the Fargodome.

FARGO — Raymond Brown scored a game-high 27 points to lead Fargo Davies to a 64-46 victory against Jamestown on Thursday in the first round of the North Dakota Class A boys state quarterfinals at the Fargodome.
Zachary Kraft scored a layup at the buzzer to lift Grand Forks Red River to a dramatic 81-80 against defending state champion Minot in the second quarterfinal of the day.
Bismarck Century rolled to a 77-45 victory against Fargo Shanley to remain undefeated. The Patriots had five different players scoring in double figures. Davies is the top seed from the East Region, while Century is the top seed from the West Region.
Fargo North rallied to earn an 82-80 victory against Bismarck Legacy in the final quarterfinal game of the opening day. Jeremiah Sem scored 26 points and Matthew Sem added 23 points to lead the Spartans into the state semifinals.
