MINOT, N.D. — The North Dakota girls state hockey tournament played its semifinals Friday night at MAYSA Arena.

Top-seeded Fargo Davies earned a 1-0 victory against Minot to advance to the state championship game, which is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday. Sandra Sampson's third-period goal lifted the Eagles to victory in the semifinals. Davies goalie Noelle Lewis had 18 saves for the shutout.

Fargo North-South rolled to a 5-1 victory against Bismarck Legacy-Bismarck to advance to the title game.

In the consolation semifinals, Bismarck Century scored a 3-1 victory against West Fargo United, while Grand Forks scored a 2-1 victory against Mandan.
