Prep baseball: Moorhead takes care of business against Buffalo

The Spuds' offense roughed up Buffalo pitching and Gavin Quade fired a three-hitter in a win Thursday.

BUFFALO, Minn. — Gavin Quade worked around five walks to finish with a three-hitter and Moorhead had more runs than hits in an 11-0 five-inning victory over Buffalo on Thursday.

Quade needed 83 pitches to get the shutout and he struck out four.

The Spuds' Carson Zimmel was 2 for 3 with a double and he drove in four runs and Wyatt Tweet was 3 for 3, doubled twice, and drove in a run.

Jack Teiken had two hits and drove in two runs, Brett Letness singled and drove in a pair of runs and Zach Taft had an RBI.
