Boys

Fargo North 80, Valley City 62

VALLEY CITY — The Fargo North Spartans shot 52 percent from the field and toppled the Valley City Hi-Liners in Eastern Dakota Conference play on Tuesday.

After surpassing 1,000 career points last week, the Spartans’ Jeremiah Sem continued his offensive dominance with 34 points, six rebounds and five steals. Eric DeBoer mustered 14 points, three rebounds and a steal. David Shilling had seven points and three steals. North made 34 of 65 from the field.

Zack Sakora led the charge for the Hi-Liners with 26 points. Aiden Jacobson combined for 12 points and four rebounds. Calahan Burchill had seven points and four rebounds. Valley City shot 19 for 52 from the floor.

Fargo North advances to 9-2 in EDC points and 8-4 overall. Valley City drops to 0-13 in EDC points and 1-12 overall.

West Fargo 89, Wahpeton 81

WEST FARGO — Five West Fargo players scored in double figures and the Packers edged Wahpeton in an EDC game on Tuesday.

Keyton McGregor led the Packers with 23 points and he also had six rebounds and five assists. Tony Leal had a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards and Nick Parries also scored 13 points. Max Pfau had 12 points and four assists and Cole Tiedeman had 11 points, six rebounds and four assists. Max Shell had nine points and four rebounds.

Wahpeton’s Caden Hockert scored 30 points and Ethan Manock had 20 points and 15 rebounds.

West Fargo is 5-8 in EDC points and 5-7 overall while Wahpeton fell to 3-9 in EDC points and 4-8 overall.

Devils Lake 69, Fargo South 60

DEVILS LAKE — The Devils Lake Firebirds’ 42-point second half powered their victory over the Fargo South Bruins in a Tuesday night EDC matchup.

The Firebirds took advantage of 20 Bruins turnovers. Parker Brodina scored 24 points and six rebounds. Wylee Delorme had 15 points and three rebounds. Joel Nelson collected 11 points and eight rebounds. Devils Lake hit 25 of 56 field goals.

Despite the loss, South’s James Hamilton had 18 points and two steals. Reis Kessel scored 12 points with 12 rebounds and five assists. Drew Shambaugh finished with 11 points and Dean Grant had 10 points. The Bruins were 24 of 49 from the floor.

Devils Lake rose to 8-5 in EDC points and overall. Fargo South dipped to 5-7 in EDC points and overall.

WF Sheyenne 65, WF Horace 49

WEST FARGO — Dylan Beyl finished with 19 points, five rebounds and three assists to lead the Mustangs to an EDC win over the Hawks on Tuesday.

Sheyenne’s Caleb Duerr recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Casey Clemenson had 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists and Tommy Ahneman finished with six points and 13 rebounds.

Carter Evanson led the Hawks with 13 points and he had six rebounds. Carvin Fish had nine points and 10 rebounds, Zay Williams had nine points and four assists and Moose Diomande scored eight points.

Horace fell to 2-11 in EDC points and 3-10 overall while Sheyenne improved to 6-7 in EDC points and 5-8 overall.

Moorhead 54, Fergus Falls 40

MOORHEAD — Dylan Zimmerman’s 19 points fueled the Moorhead Spuds’ victory over the Fergus Falls Otters on Tuesday.

The Spuds’ Jaden Griffin and DJ Smith each scored nine points. Adam Jenkins ended with seven and Colton Hagen scored five points.

The Otter’s Henry Bethel scored 13 points. Hayden Knick and Ryan Hirst both had six points. Ryan Formo finished with four points.

Moorhead increased to 12-3 overall. Fergus Falls lowered to 5-9 overall.

Win-E-Mac 73, Park Christian 57

ERSKINE, Minn. — Win-E-Mac clamped down defensively in the second half and defeated Moorhead Park Christian on Tuesday.

Kyler Card led Park Christian with 18 points and Tyler Loeb scored 11. Bridger Carlson scored eight points and Isaac Jacobson and Daniel Swiers both scored seven points.

Justin Courneya led Win-E-Mac with 25 points and Ryan Kangas scored 21. Cameron Bergman finished with 15 points.

Park Christian fell to 5-10 overall while Win-E-Mac improved to 8-9 overall.

Girls

West Fargo 71, Wahpeton 57

WAHPETON — Chloe Pfau had 18 points, five rebounds and nine steals to lead West Fargo to the EDC road win over Wahpeton on Tuesday.

The Packers’ Miriley Simon had 16 points, 13 rebounds and five blocked shots. Taylor Van Winkle and Solveig Seymour both scored 12 points and Van Winkle also had eight rebounds and four assists.

Emma Bontjes led the Huskies with 20 points and seven rebounds and Scout Woods scored 14 points.

West Fargo is now 10-3 in EDC points and overall. Wahpeton is 6-6 in EDC points and 7-5 overall.

Devils Lake 74, Fargo South 40

FARGO — The Devils Lake Firebirds won in grand style over the Fargo South Bruins on Tuesday night.

The Firebirds scored 44 points in the second half to pull away. Tori Fee had 12 points and Cabryn Fritel and Claire Heilman both scored 11 points. Pressly Brown had 10 points.

Emma Osborn scored 19 points to lead the Bruins. Tayln Hoffart had five points and Teigan Malo finished with four.

Devils Lake moved to 3-10 in EDC points and overall. South remained winless at 0-12 in EDC points and overall.

Valley City 54, Fargo North 43

FARGO — Fargo North struggled shooting and the Spartans fell to Valley City in an EDC game on Tuesday.

North shot just 26 percent from the field and were 7 of 32 from 3-point range.

Olivia Hammes led North with a double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Arden Falkner had 11 points and eight rebounds and Sienna Swanson and Nora Fluge both scored five points.

Brooke Eggermont led Valley City with 17 points and she had six rebounds and seven steals. Drew Potratz had 14 points and five rebounds and Carly Goven had nine points and eight rebounds.

Valley City is now 3-10 in EDC points and 3-9 overall. North fell to 5-7 in EDC points and 4-8 overall.

Moorhead 50, Fergus Falls 31

MOORHEAD — The Moorhead Spuds outscored the Fergus Falls Otters 25-8 in the first half and cruised to victory on Tuesday night.

The Spuds’ Annie Horan kickstarted the offense with 20 points and three steals. Grace Perry had 17 points, six rebounds and five assists. Haley Oberg and Julia McAdams each grabbed six rebounds.

Brynn Sternberg led the Otters with 13 points.

Moorhead moved to 4-13 overall. Fergus Falls fell to 5-9 overall.

Barnesville 43, Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 35

GLYNDON — Barnesville’s win over Dilworth-Glyndon Felton on Tuesday has put their winning percentage over .500 in the Heart O’ Lakes Conference.

Barnesville moved to 4-3 in the Heart O’ Lakes and 7-8 overall. DGF dropped to 1-7 in the Heart O’ Lakes Conference and 6-9 overall.

Park Christian 61, Sacred Heart 51

MOORHEAD — The Park Christian Falcons defeated Sacred Heart Eagles on Tuesday.

The Falcons rode their 33-point second half all the way to victory. Avery Aakre scored 14 points and Belle Sukert scored 11. Libby Suckert and Ellie Rogness each scored 10 points.

Leah Sundby had 13 points for the Eagles and Lydia Riskey scored 12. Lexi Lawerence finished with nine and Finley Horken had eight points.

Park Christian jumped to 14-3 overall. Sacred Heart fell to 8-7 overall.
