West Fargo 76, Fargo South 68

FARGO — The No. 9 West Fargo Packers defeated the No. 8 Fargo South Bruins to earn a ticket to the East Region quarterfinals on Saturday.

The Packers shot 25 for 58 from the field. Isaac Fitz scored 21 points with four rebounds and two steals. Tony Leal Had 22 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double performance. Nick Parries had for 15 points, four rebounds and two steals.

James Hamilton ended with 14 points, five assists and five steals. Dean Grant had 12 points, three steals and two rebounds. Cole Kegbeh scored 10 points, four steals and four rebounds. South went 23 for 63 in field goals.

West Fargo is 9-13 in the EDC and 9-13 overall. South is now 10-12 in the EDC and overall.

Fargo Shanley 78, Valley City 60

FARGO — The No. 5 Shanley Deacons rolled through the No. 12 Valley City Hi-Liners in Saturday’s EDC tournament play-in game.

The Deacons knocked down 14 of 15 free throws. Connor Kraft led in scoring with 26 points and had seven rebounds and two steals. Vuciri Hakim earned a double-double with 18 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Isaac Perkerwicz had 12 points. Shanley shot 29 for 56 from the field.

The Hi-Liners’ Aiden Jacobson ended with 24 points. Zach Sykora had 12 points, four steals and two rebounds. Aerie Bratrud finished with 10 points and seven rebounds. Valley City went 24 for 56 in field goals.

Shanley improved to 12-10 in the EDC and 12-10 overall. Valley City fell to 1-21 in the EDC and 2-20 overall.

West Fargo Sheyenne 70, Wahpeton 61

WEST FARGO — The No. 7 West Fargo Sheyenne Mustangs moved past the No. 10 Wahpeton Huskies in an EDC play-in game on Saturday.

The Mustangs shot 27 for 62 from the field, including nine 3-pointers. Casey Clemenson had 20 points, seven assists and three steals. Caleb Duerr earned a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. Dylan Beyl had 17 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Ethan Manock led Wahpeton with a double-double night with 19 points and 17 rebounds. Caden Kappes had 18 points and three rebounds. Treyton Mauch and Brayden Steffens each had five points. The Huskies made 25 of 58 in field goal attempts.

Sheyenne advanced to 1-11 in the EDC and 10-12 overall. Wahpeton is now 8-14 in the EDC and 9-13 overall.

Grand Forks Central 77, West Fargo Horace 55

GRAND FORKS — The No. 6 Grand Forks Central Knights cruised past the No. 11 West Fargo Horace Hawks in Saturday’s EDC play-in game.

The Knights knocked down 29 of 61 field goal attempts and the Hawks shot 21 for 61.

Grand Forks Central are 11-11 in the region and 12-10 overall. Horace stumbled to 2-20 in the region and 3-19 overall.

Elk River 62, Moorhead 61

MOORHEAD — The Elk River Elks edged the Moorhead Spuds on Saturday.

Elk River moved to 12-11 overall and the Spuds are 16-7.

Moorhead Park Christian 62, Frazee 50

MOORHEAD — The Park Christian Falcons bested the Frazee Hornets in a non-conference game on Saturday night.

Park Christian rose to 10-13 overall. Frazee dropped to 6-16 overall.

No. 7 Fargo North 68, No. 10 Devils Lake 58

FARGO — The Fargo North Spartans outlasted the Devils Lake Firebirds Saturday’s EDC play-in game.

The Spartans shot 25 for 29 from the free-throw line and 18 for 50 from the field. Arden Faulkner scored 17 points with four assists and three steals. Olivia Hammes had a double-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds and five steals. Grace Thiel ended with 15 points, five rebounds and three steals.

Devils Lake’s Claire Heilman collected 19 points, eight rebounds and two blocks. Lainey Hall had 11 points. Tyleie Brodina and Presley Brown each scored six. The Firebirds went 22 for 57 from the field.

North jumped to 7-15 in the region and overall. Devils Lake dropped to 6-16 in the region and 5-17 overall.

No. 6 Wahpeton 74, No. 11 Grand Forks Central 67

WAHPETON — The Wahpeton Huskies knocked off the Grand Forks Central Knights in Saturday’s EDC play-in game.

Scout Woods had 25 points, nine rebounds and two steals for Wahpeton. Emma Bontjes finished with a double-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. McKena Koolmo had for 18 points, three assists and two steals. The Huskies shot 24 for 63 from the field.

The Knights’ Lauren Reardon finished with 31 points, six rebounds and three rebounds.Morgan Hallgren had 10 points, three rebounds and three assists. Jacie Reardon collected 10 rebounds and nine points. Central made 24 of 71 shots.

Wahpeton boosted to 13-9 in the region and 15-7 overall. Central is now 4-18 in the region and overall.

No. 5 Shanley 54, No. 12 Fargo South 26

FARGO — The Shanley Deacons dominated the Fargo South Bruins in Saturday’s play-in game.

The Deacons rose to 14-8 in the EDC and overall. South dropped to 0-22 in the EDC and overall.

No. 8 WF Horace 63, No. 9 Valley City 51

HORACE — The West Fargo Horace Hawks defeated the Valley City Hi-Liners in EDC play-in action on Saturday.

Horace rose to 7-15 in the region and overall. Valley City is now 6-16 in the region and 6-15 overall.

Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 55, Park Rapids 46

PARK RAPIDS — The Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels strung enough together to defeat the Park Rapids Panthers on Saturday night.

Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton improved to 14-11. Park Rapids dropped to 10-15 overall.
