FARGO — The West Fargo Horace Hawks cruised past the Fargo Shanley Deacons in extra innings on Thursday night.
After the Deacons tied the game in the seventh inning, the Hawks scratched five runs across in the eighth to close out the contest. Horace had 14 hits and Shanley finished with eight.
The Hawks’ Leah Holten was 3 for 3 with two doubles. Avery Samarzja was 2 for 4 with three RBI and Tristyn went 3 for 4. Mckenna Mohs pitched a complete game, giving up five earned runs and striking out 10.
Shanley’s Elizabeth Biver went 2 for 4 with two RBI. Emmalise Maher was 1 for 4 with two RBI and Emily Anderson finished 1 for 3.
WF Sheyenne 2-5, West Fargo 0-15
WEST FARGO — The West Fargo Packers and West Fargo Sheyenne Mustangs split their EDC doubleheader on Thursday night.

In the first game, the Mustangs’ starter Kyra Narum shut down the Packers after Sheyenne scored both its runs in the first inning. She went the distance, walking five and striking out six.
Sheyenne’s Addison Rolstad was 2-for-2 with two RBI. Kate Geiszler was 2 for 4 and Abigail Misialek was 1 for 3.
Grace Vetter was 2 for 3 for West Fargo. Mara Lick and Delia Osland each went 1-for-2 with a walk. Grace Wehri allowed two runs over seven innings. She allowed seven hits and struck out seven.
The Packers pieced together nine runs in the first two innings of game two to win in six innings. Emma Johnson allowed four earned runs on six hits and struck out 11 on the mound and finished 2-for-3 with two RBI at the plate.
Sheyenne’s Makenna Alexander was 2 for 3 with an RBI and Geiszler was 1 for 2 with an RBI.
Moorhead 10, Park Rapids 0
MOORHEAD — Moorhead’s Kellsey Kludt twirled a two-hitter in the Spuds’ win over Park Rapids on Thursday.
Kludt went all five innings, didn’t issue a walk and struck out eight. She also had a double.
Taylor Brueske was 3 for 3 with a home run and four runs batted in. Emilee Anderson was 2 for 2 and two RBI, Alexa Krueger had two hits and an RBI and Rylie Spitzner had two hits.

DGF 11-9, Breckenridge 1-6
GLYNDON — Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to win game two and complete a sweep of Breckenridge on Thursday.
With the game tied 6-6 after eight innings, DGF’s Makayla Bjelland reached on a fielder’s choice and moved to third when the Cowboys misplayed Makayla Winter’s ground ball. Bjelland then scored on a wild pitch and Winter scored on a fielding error. Kaleigh Peterson then singled in a third run.
DGF reliever Natalee Linman allowed a leadoff single in the bottom of the ninth but got the next three Cowboys batters to end the game.
Bjelland was 3 for 5 with a double and an RBI, Peterson had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs, Lexi Froemke had a hit and two RBI and Greta Devires and Katie Kittelson both had two hits.
In the first game, Linman started and allowed a run on four hits in five innings. She struck out five.
Peterson was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double and two runs batted in. Ellie Boyd doubled twice and drove in three runs. Devires had two hits, including a double, and drove in a run, Linman had a hit and two RBI, Froemke had two hits and an RBI, Skylar Spessard had a hit and an RBI, and Bjelland and Winter both had two hits.
