WEST FARGO — Emma Johnson picked a great time to deliver a no-hitter for the No. 1 West Fargo Packers.
Johnson worked all five innings, allowed no walks and struck out 11 batters to cruise past the No. 8 West Fargo Horace Hawks in the first round of the Eastern Dakota Conference tournament on Tuesday.
At the plate, the Packers clobbered 10 hits and scored three in the first, four in the second and three more in the fourth.
Johnson was a menace at the plate, as well, going 3 for 3 with a triple and four RBI. Courtney Docktor was 2 for 2 with a walk and an RBI and Katelyn Kackman ended 1 for 2 with a walk.

The Packers play No. 4 Fargo North at 4 p.m. on Friday in West Fargo and Horace faces off against No. 5 Fargo Davies.
WF Sheyenne 26, GF Central 2 (F/5 inn.)
WEST FARGO — A 12-run inning for No. 2 West Fargo Shyenne fueled an offensive onslaught over No. 7 Grand Forks Central.
The monstrous second inning helped Sheyenne bolt to a 17-run lead after three innings. The Mustangs scored seven more in the fourth.
Sheyenne’s Addie Rolstad was 5 for 5 with six RBI. Makenna Alexander and Kate Geiszler both went 3 for 3 with five RBI. Autumn McGough tossed four innings, allowing one earned run on four hits and striking out five. Briley Thompson ended the game in the fifth with two strikeouts.
Central’s Kaitlyn Raaum was 1 for 1 with a walk. Julia Biby was 1 for 2 with an RBI and Bailey Teblius ended 1 for 2 with a walk.
Sheyenne faces off against No. 3 Grand Forks Red River at 6:30 p.m. and Central meets No. 6 Valley City at 1:30 p.m.
Fargo North 5, Fargo Davies 4

FARGO — The No. 4 Fargo North Spartans edged the No. 5 Fargo Davies Eagles in EDC tournament first-round play.
The Spartans play No. 1 West Fargo at 4 p.m. and the Eagles take on No. 8 West Fargo Horace 11 a.m..
GF Red River 10, Valley City 0
GRAND FORKS — The No. 3 ranked Grand Forks Red River steamed past the No. 6 Valley City Hi-Liners in the first round of the EDC tourney.
Red River plays No. 2 West Fargo Sheyenne at 6:30 p.m. and Valley City faces off against No. 7 Grand Fork Central at 1:30 p.m.

Elk River 2, Moorhead 1
ELK RIVER — The No. 4 Elk River Elks snuck past the No. 5 Moorhead Spuds in Section 8-4A’s first round on Tuesday.

Elk River plays No. 1 St. Michael-Albertville at 4:30 p.m.on Thursday, May 25 and Moorhead faces No. 9 Buffalo in Moorhead.
Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 10, Crookston 0
GLYNDON — The No. 2N Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels made quick work of the No. 7N Crookston Pirates in the Section 8-2A first round.
The Rebels advance to play No. 3N Park Rapids at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 25 in Thief River Falls.
