Prep volleyball: West Fargo Sheyenne widens lead in EDC

West Fargo Sheyenne 3, Fargo South 1
FARGO — West Fargo Sheyenne shook off a loss in the second set to defeat Fargo South 25-17, 22-25, 25-17, 25-16 and strengthen its lead in the Eastern Dakota Conference standings on Thursday.

Sheyenne’s Kailee Waasdorp, Reagan Bogenreif and Khloe Brown packed a 1-2-3 punch, Bogenreif had 12 kills, served two aces and had 23 digs. Waasdorp had 12 kills, an ace and nine digs, and Brown had 10 kills and six blocks.

Izzy Albrecht had seven kills and seven blocks and Lexus Terhark had six kills and five blocks. Brooke Johnson had 26 set assists and 12 digs and Kennedy Colter had 20 assists and seven digs.

South’s Gen Gard had 15 kills, served three aces and had 16 digs. Emma Dalby had 11 kills and three ace serves, and Maddie Jackson had 35 set assists.

West Fargo Sheyenne improved to 18-0 in the EDC and 25-1 overall. Fargo South fell to 15-3 in the EDC and 19-7 overall.

West Fargo 3, Valley City 0
WEST FARGO — Riley Guscette had 11 kills and Alivia Peterson had 10 kills as the Packers defeated Valley City 25-11, 25-17, 25-15 in an EDC match on Thursday.

Alli Halvorson had six kills and Olivia Soine had 26 set assists and seven digs. Raina Chwialkowski had three assists, a service ace and 19 digs.

Valley City fell to 3-14 in the EDC and 6-21 overall while West Fargo now is 12-3 in the EDC and 18-8 overall.

Fargo North 3, Devils Lake 0
DEVILS LAKE — Fargo North took care of business quickly, defeating Devils Lake 25-7, 25-7, 25-6 in an EDC match on Thursday.

North’s Haidyn Tollefson and Aubrey Rydell both had six kills and Rydell had two blocks while Tollefson had 1-1/2 blocks.

Betsy Schiltz had 18 set assists and Evy Berg had three kills, five ace serves and four digs. Anna Nelson had three kills and 1-1/2 blocks and Ambree Hansen also served five aces.

Devils Lake’s Claire Heilman and Jolie Martinson both had four kills and Torri Fee and Lainey Hall both had five assists.

Fargo North now is 13-5 in the EDC and 21-7 overall while Devils Lake is 0-16 in the EDC and 1-24 overall.


Fargo Shanley 3, Wahpeton 0
WAHPETON — Fargo Shanley had an easy night with Wahpeton, winning 25-12, 25-7, 25-4 in an EDC match on Thursday.

Fargo Shanley improved to 11-7 in the EDC and 14-11 overall while Wahpeton fell to 1-15 in the EDC and 4-23.

Fargo Davies 3, WF Horace 1
FARGO — Fargo Davies gave up a point in the third set but rebounded to defeat West Fargo Horace 25-19, 25-15, 23-25, 25-16 in an EDC matchup on Thursday.

Cayla Sailer led Davies with 15 kills and 15 digs. Leah Laqua had 12 kills, 4-1/2 blocks and three ace serves.

Haley Horner had 30 set assists and Kenzie Sauvageau served seven aces and had seven digs.

Horace’s Gabbi Sturlaugson had 14 kills and Ella Livingston had 10 kills. Lilia Donnelly finished with 19 set assists and Sydney Schweyen had 15 assists. Kelby Christofferson had six blocks, Jaiden Haile had three blocks and Alyssa Sommerfeld had 38 digs.

Horace fell to 8-10 in the EDC and 10-14 overall while Davies improved to 11-6 in the EDC and 14-11 overall.

Park Christian 3, Win-E-Mac 0
MOORHEAD — Moorhead Park Christian cruised to a 25-11, 25-15, 25-16 Pine to Prairie victory over Win-E-Mac on Thursday.


Park Christian is 5-3 in the Pine to Prairie Conference and 14-7 overall. Win-E-Mac is 0-8 in the Pine to Prairie Conference and 2-17 overall.
