Preps boys hockey: Hill-Murray shuts out Spuds

The loss snapped a three-game Spuds winning streak

MAPLEWOOD, Minn. — Hill-Murray took down Moorhead 2-0 to snap the Spuds’ three-game winning streak on Saturday in Minnesota boys hockey at Aldrich Ice Arena.

Leo Gruba scored in the first period for Hill-Murray to put the Pioneers up 1-0. After a scoreless second period, Nick Mountain found the back of the net just over three minutes into the third to seal the win.

The Spuds fell to 4-4-1 overall, while Hill-Murray moved to 7-2 overall.
