Fargo Davies 88, Fargo South 68
FARGO — Fargo Davies powered up its offense in the second half to pull away from Fargo South on Saturday in Eastern Dakota Conference play.
Davies led by nine at halftime, but scored 53 second-half points to salt the game away.
Davies’ Mason Klabo hit six 3-pointers and finished with 29 points, adding six rebounds, four assists and eight steals.
Ian Motschenbacher had 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Eagles. Carsen Barta had 12 points and four rebounds, and Kaden Braaflat just missed a double-double with eight points and nine boards. Evan Van Dam had seven points and seven rebounds and Raymond Brown also scored seven points.
South’s James Hamilton had 18 points and five rebounds, while Diamond McGill and Evan Booth both scored 12 points. Dean Grant had 11 points and eight rebounds and Reis Kessel scored eight points.
Davies rose to 5-1 both overall and in the EDC, while South dropped to 4-4 both overall and in the EDC.
Fargo Shanley 62, Valley City 33
FARGO — Shanley stifled Valley City to cruise by the Hi-Liners for an EDC victory.
The Deacons held Valley City to 23% (12 of 53) from the field. Shanley connected on 44% (27 of 61) of its shots.
A trio of Deacons scored 10 points to lead a balanced attack. Vuciri Hakim finished with 10 points and eight rebounds. Bennett Burd tallied 10 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals. Carter Jaeger had 10 points with three steals and a team-high five assists. Jack Pollert added nine points, seven rebounds and three assists, while Tyler Kraft had nine points and two steals.
Cal Burchill and Zach Sykora scored 10 and seven points, respectively, to pace Valley City.
Shanley rose to 4-5 overall and 4-4 in the EDC. Valley City dropped to 0-8 overall and 0-7 in the EDC.
Wayzata 75, Moorhead 60
MOORHEAD — Wayzata took down Moorhead in Minnesota Class 4A action.
Dylan Zimmerman paced the Spuds with 16 points. Adam Jenkins followed with 13 points and Mekhi Elmore scored 10 to round out Moorhead’s double-digit scorers. Hunter Wachenheim poured in eight points.
Carter Bjerke paced Wayzata with 20 points and Hayden Tibbits scored 18.
Moorhead fell to 4-6 overall, while Wayzata improved to 7-3 overall.
Dickinson Trinity 62, Oak Grove 59
BISMARCK — Dickinson Trinity notched a narrow win over Fargo Oak Grove in a Class B bout at the Shiloh Christian Shootout.
The Grovers dropped to 2-5 overall, while Dickinson Trinity improved to 4-5.
D-G-F 75, Warroad 62
BARNESVILLE, Minn. — The Rebels took down Warroad in a clash of Minnesota Section 8AA teams at Barnesville High School.
D-G-F improved to 4-2 overall. Warroad fell to 9-3 overall.
Fargo Shanley 63, Valley City 52
FARGO — Five Deacons scored in double figures to spark Shanley to an EDC win over Valley City.
Hannah Hoedl led the Deacons with 16 points and four assists. Emily Srejma posted a double-double with 12 points and 17 rebounds. Maggie Shorma finished with 11 points and three steals. Seely Stockmoe recorded 10 points and four rebounds, and Mesiku Hakim poured in 10 points with three assists.
Shanley held Valley City to 29% (20 of 68) from the field.
Brooke Eggermont led the Hi-Liners with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Carly Goven added 10 points and seven boards.
Shanley rose to 4-5 overall and 4-4 in the EDC. Valley City dropped to 1-7 overall and 1-6 in the conference.
Devils Lake 72, Fargo South 40
FARGO — Devils Lake cruised by Fargo South in an EDC matchup.
Teigan Malo led the Bruins with 13 points. Grace Hoselton followed with 11 points.
Rachel Dahlen scored a game-high 26 points to lead Devils Lake. Cabryn Fritel added 12 points.
South dropped to 4-5 overall and 3-5 in the EDC. Devils Lake rose to 4-3 both overall and in the conference.
Oak Grove 38, Dickinson Trinity 36
BISMARCK — Fargo Oak Grove edged Dickinson Trinity in a clash of Class B teams at the Shiloh Christian Shootout.
Oak Grove’s McKenna McIlonie scored 12 points, and Isabel Anderson and Paightyn Downs both scored 10 points.
The Grovers improved to 2-8 overall, while Dickinson Trinity dropped to 1-7 overall.
