West Fargo 7, 5, Fargo North 6, 6

WEST FARGO — West Fargo and Fargo North split a doubleheader in Eastern Dakota Conference action Tuesday. Game 2 was scored nonconference.

Seth Wigestrand went 2 of 4 with a double and two RBIs for the Packers in Game 1. Jaden Grefsrud was 2 of 4 with a double and one RBI.

In Game 2, Aaron Breitbach finished 2 of 3 with two RBIs for North.

West Fargo is now 4-3 overall and 3-0 in the EDC. North moved to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

SM-Albertville 8, Moorhead 0

ST. MICHAEL, Minn. — Three St. Michael-Albertville pitchers allowed just five hits in a win over the Spuds on Tuesday.


Moorhead’s Jack Teiken and Justin Stalboerger both were 2-for-3 and Zach Taft had the Spuds’ other hit.

Moorhead fell to 3-3 overall.

Fargo South 11, Fargo Davies 6

FARGO — Fargo South scored 10 runs in the final three innings, including four in the seventh, to break open a tied game and down the Eagles on Tuesday at Starion Field.

The teams were tied 1-1 after four innings, but South scored five runs in the top of the fifth. Davies countered with four runs in the home half of the inning. The teams traded runs in the sixth, but in the seventh, South’s Abram Anderson doubled in two runs and the Bruins added two more on a double steal and a Davies error.

South reliever Michael Grensteiner struck out the side in the bottom of the seventh.

South’s Anthony Erickson was 3 for 4 with two doubles and he drove in a run. Grensteiner and Alex Such both had two hits.

Davies Keegan Wessels had two hits and an RBI and Wyatt Kosidowski also had two hits.

South improved to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the EDC, while Davies dropped to 0-3 both overall and in the EDC.


Fargo Shanley 10, Devils Lake 0

FARGO — Josh Biver fired a one-hitter in Shanley’s five-inning win on Tuesday at McCormick Field.

Biver needed just 64 pitches. He didn’t issue a walk and struck out nine.

Adam Leininger was 2 for 2 with a double and he drove in a run. Jayden Quart was 2 for 2 and Landon Meier had a hit and drove in two runs. Sam Ovsak and Beckett Stimpson both had hits and RBIs. Jordan Leininger doubled.

Shanley is 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the EDC, while Devils Lake fell to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the EDC.

WF Sheyenne 17, 8, Wahpeton 1, 9

WAHPETON, N.D. — West Fargo Sheyenne rolled to a Game 1 victory and Wahpeton edged out the Mustangs in Game 2 in an EDC doubleheader. Game 2 was scored as nonconference.

Sheyenne moved to 5-4 overall and 3-0 in the EDC. Wahpeton is now 4-6 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
