Moorhead 85, Fargo South 78

FARGO — Moorhead had four double-digit scorers to fuel a nonconference victory over Fargo South on Tuesday.

Adam Jenkins paced the Spuds with 23 points. Hunter Wachenheim dropped 16 points and Mekhi Elmore scored 12. Dylan Zimmerman rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points.

James Hamilton led the way for South with a game-high 27 points. Diamond McGill followed with 21 points.

Moorhead improved to 5-6 overall, while South dropped to 4-5 overall.

Red River 101, West Fargo 84

WEST FARGO — Grand Forks Red River had the hot hand from beyond the arc to knock off West Fargo in Eastern Dakota Conference play.


The Roughriders hit 16 of 25 3-point attempts (64%). Reis Rowekamp drilled six 3-pointers to spark a 36-point performance to pace Red River. Zac Kraft connected on five 3s and finished with 27 points, while Paine Parks tallied a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds.

Nick Carlson scored 21 points to lead the Packers. Carson Hegerle tallied 20 points, four rebounds and two steals. Brett Limke finished with 18 points and three assists, while Foday Sheriff poured in nine points with six boards.

West Fargo fell to 7-2 overall and 6-2 in the EDC. Red River rose to 4-2 both overall and in the conference.

WF Sheyenne 68, GF Central 49

WEST FARGO — West Fargo Sheyenne used a strong first half to spark an EDC victory over Grand Forks Central.

The Mustangs held a 36-25 lead at halftime.

Mike Nhial recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, adding three assists and two steals to lead Sheyenne. Trent Freih finished with 10 points, six rebounds and three assists. Kaleb Larson poured in 10 points with four rebounds and two steals.

The Mustangs held Red River to 30% (18 of 60) from the field. Sheyenne knocked down 23 of 52 shot attempts (44%), including 11 of 22 from 3-point range.

Sam Strandell and Erick Paye scored 16 and 15 points, respectively, to lead GFC.


Sheyenne rose to 8-1 overall and 7-1 in the EDC. The Knights fell to 2-6 overall and 2-5 in the EDC.

Fargo Shanley 59, Wahpeton 51

WAHPETON, N.D. — The Deacons held Wahpeton to 16 first-half points to help secure an EDC win over the Huskies.

Shanley was up 22-16 at halftime.

Connor Kraft tallied 23 points, seven rebounds and two steals to lead the Deacons. Vuciri Hakim scored seven points with six rebounds and three assists. Tyler Kraft added seven points and Bennett Burd finished with seven points and four rebounds.

Caden Hockert discord 23 points to pace Wahpeton. Ethan Manock followed with 11 points, adding six rebounds.

Shanley rose to 5-5 overall and 5-4 in the EDC. Wahpeton dropped to 1-7 both overall and in the EDC.

Oak Grove 74, Lisbon 44

LISBON, N.D. — Trey Hatfield scored 20 points to lead Fargo Oak Grove to a win over Lisbon in Class B, Region 1 action on Tuesday.

The Grovers’ Trevon Rodriguez scored 12 points, Rylee Bakkegard scored 10 and Cody Card scored eight. In all, 11 Grovers scored.


Caleb Olson led Lisbon with a game-high 21 points.

Oak Grove improved to 3-5 overall, while Lisbon dropped to 2-4 overall.
