West Fargo 13, 11, GF Central 3, 1

WEST FARGO — West Fargo cruised to a pair of Eastern Dakota Conference victories over Grand Forks Central on Tuesday.

In Game 1, Grace Wehri finished 3 for 3 with three RBIs for the Packers. Courtney Docktor went 3 of 3 with a sacrifice fly and three RBIs. Wehri also had a strong start on the mound, striking out eight in five innings of work to improve to 3-1 this season.

Emma Johnson picked up the win for West Fargo in the six-inning Game 2. She struck out six and improved to 7-0 this season. Johnson and Sophie Ochocki each belted a home run for the Packers. Sydney Dye went 3 for 3 with two RBIs and Aubrey Finn finished 2 for 2.

West Fargo remains unblemished in the conference standings, improving to 10-1 overall and 12-0 in EDC points. GFC dropped to 2-7 overall and 2-10 in EDC points.

WF Sheyenne 14, Valley City 3

VALLEY CITY, N.D. — West Fargo Sheyenne rolled by Valley City in a five-inning EDC matchup to remain unbeaten in conference play.


Abby Misialek finished 3 for 3 with three RBIs to lead the Mustangs. Lauren Schauer and Quinn Thompson were a combined 5 of 6.

Bailey Leroux and Autumn McGough each had hits for Valley City.

Sheyenne rose to 6-1 overall and 8-0 in EDC points. Valley City dropped to 2-11 overall and 2-6 in EDC points.

Fargo South 19, Fargo Shanley 8

FARGO — Fargo South rolled to an EDC victory over Fargo Shanley in six innings.

South improved to 2-4 overall and 4-2 in EDC points. Shanley dropped to 0-8 overall and 0-12 in EDC points.

Devils Lake 11, Fargo Davies 10

GRAND FORKS — Devils Lake surged late and held off a Davies comeback attempt in EDC play at Apollo Field.

Devils Lake scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to take an 11-7 lead. Davies answered with three runs in the top of the seventh, but the Firebirds held on for the win.

Liz Rogers went 3 for 4 with a run and three RBIs to lead Davies. Kennedy Vettel was 3 of 5 with a run and two RBIs. Mia McCoy had two hits and two runs scored, while Alex Feldner had a hit and scored twice.


Alayna Olson was 3 for 4 with three runs and three RBIs to lead Devils Lake. Calin Boline tallied two hits and two RBIs.

Davies dropped to 2-6 both overall and in EDC points. Devils Lake rose to 1-2 overall and 2-4 in EDC points.

GF Red River 8, Fargo North 6

GRAND FORKS — Grand Forks Red River went ahead late to top Fargo North in an EDC matchup.

The Spartans trailed 6-2 after four innings, but plated two runs in the top of the fifth and two more in the top of the sixth to knot it at 6-6. Red River responded with two runs in its half of the sixth inning to take the lead for good.

Jada Purdy finished 3 for 3 with three RBIs to lead North. Olivia Kalbus went 2 for 4 with four runs scored. Ainsley Ness added a hit and Aubrey King drove in one run.

Rylie McQuillan had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored for the Roughriders. Ella Speidel and Jocelyn Berg each knocked in two runs.

North fell to 4-5 overall and 6-6 in EDC points. Red River improved to 5-2 overall and 8-0 in EDC points.
