Three-time defending state champion Hannah Herbel from Century leads after the first day of the Class A Girls Golf State Tournament.
FARGO-- No female golfer in Class-A has ever won four state titles in North Dakota. On Monday, Bismarck Century's *Hannah Herbel* started her quest, after being crowned champion the last three years.
Herbel shot an even 72 on Monday, she sits in first place by four strokes. Davies leads the team standings, followed by Bismarck Century. The tournament concludes on Tuesday at Edgewood Golf Course in Fargo.
Week six of the high school football season did not disappoint as one of the longest winning streaks in the nation is snapped.
The 44-game win streak for Langdon Area-Edmore-Munich is over. Hillsboro/Central Valley taking down the three-time defending state champs, 28-13. The Burros ended the game on 28-6 run... which included two Gavin Mitzel touchdowns. The last team to beat the Cardinals was also the Burros in the 2017 Dakota Bowl.
Cavalier earned its second win against a top five opponent on Friday., defeating May-Port-C-G, 42-20. Ethan Cleem is shining in his senior season. The quarterback had 219 total yards and three touchdowns in the win., while also recording five tackles and a fumble recovery on defense. as the Tornadoes improve to 7-0.
For the second straight week, West Fargo's Parker Nelson recorded more than 200 rushing yards. The senior tallied 273 on Friday, along with scoring two touchdowns. as the Packers defeated Legacy, 41-25.
