WATCH: Some semifinals set after day one of region girls basketball quarterfinals

Central Cass and Northern Cass advance, while other quarterfinals were rescheduled.

CENTRAL CASS CRUISES THROUGH QUARTERFINALS, BEATS WYNDMERE-LIDGERWOOD-HANKINSON
FARGO — In the quarterfinal round of the Region 1 girls basketball tournament, Central Cass dominated wire to wire in a 49-26 win over Wyndmere-Lidgerwood-Hankinson. The Squirrels used a 14-point run in the second quarter to create space and never looked back. Delaney Cotton led Central Cass with 15 points.

SARGENT COUNTY USES STRONG START TO BLOW PAST MAPLE RIVER
FARGO — Sargent County girls basketball started strong and didn't slow down in a 58-34 quarterfinal win over Maple River. The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead and held an 18-point advantage at the end of the first quarter. Karleigh Kadoun led the way with 20 points for Sargent County in the win.

NORTHERN CASS HOLDS OFF OAK GROVE TO ADVANCE
FARGO — Despite multiple rallies by Oak Grove, Northern Cass girls basketball held on for a 59-48 win to advance to the semifinals of the Region 1 semifinals. The Jaguars took momentum into halftime with back-to-back buckets by Haidyn Crockett in the closing seconds of the second quarter. Crockett finished with 23 points in the victory.
