WEST FARGO — West Fargo High School head volleyball coach Kelsey Gibbons submitted her resignation from the position on Thursday, Jan. 20, according to a Friday press release from West Fargo High School's activities department.
Per the release, "Gibbons stated that due to personal and professional changes, at this time, she will no longer be able to serve and complete the duties or demands required of the head coach."
Gibbons led the Packers volleyball team for seven years and made six state tournament appearances in her time, including a runner-up finish in 2020.
"Coach Gibbons has done a tremendous job not only coaching our young ladies on the game of volleyball, but also teaching and coaching life lessons with her teams. Her teams were always very fundamentally sound and played the game with passion," West Fargo Activities Director Jay DeCann said in the release.
The process for hiring a new head volleyball coach is set to begin immediately.
