CLEBURNE, Texas — The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks pulled away from the Cleburne Railroaders thanks to a three-run sixth inning, securing a 4-1 win in American Association baseball Wednesday night at The Depot at Cleburne Stadium.
With the game tied 1-1, Leobaldo Pina connected on a two-run home run, his first of the season, giving F-M a 3-1 lead. Sam Dexter's RBI double helped add to that lead in the sixth inning.
Dexter led the RedHawks with three hits, while Jordan George added two hits. Kevin Herget got the win on the mound for F-M, allowing just one run off three hits through seven innings on the mound. Herget also recorded 10 strikeouts.
Cleburne (1-1) only mustered four total hits, with Hunter Clanin's homer providing the only run for the home team.
The RedHawks (1-1) conclude their series with Cleburne at 7:06 p.m. Thursday.
