FARGO — Sioux Falls plated a pair of eighth-inning runs to fuel a 4-2 win over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks on Thursday in American Association baseball before 2,131 fans at Newman Outdoor Field.
Wyatt Ulrich hit a go-ahead two-run double in the top of the eighth to give the Canaries (8-17) the 4-2 lead.
Drew Ward belted a solo home run, his eighth this season, for the RedHawks. Sam Dexter drove in F-M's second run. Christian Correa doubled, while Peter Maris, Manuel Boscan, Leo Pina and Evan Alexander each added a hit.
Davis Feldman got the start for the RedHawks. He tossed six innings, surrendering two runs on eight hits and one walk with six strikeouts in a no decision.
F-M (16-8) is scheduled to host Lake Country at 7:02 p.m. Friday at Newman.
