OCONOMOWOC, Wis. — Peter Maris mashed two home runs to spark the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks to a 5-1 win over Lake Country on Wednesday in American Association baseball at Wisconsin Brewing Company Park.
Maris hit a solo shot in the top of the fourth inning and added a two-run homer in the top of the eighth, giving him eight this season. He finished 3-for-5 with three runs and three RBIs. John Silviano and Evan Alexander each drove in one run.
RedHawks starting pitcher Tyler Grauer (4-1) continued his strong play this season. He tossed eight innings, giving up one run on eight hits and one walk with eight strikeouts.
The RedHawks (26-10) and Lake Country (14-23) are scheduled to square off in the series finale at 6:35 p.m. Thursday.
