FARGO — The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks and Milwaukee Milkmen are scheduled to play at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, in the Game 5 of the American Association baseball championship series at Newman Outdoor Field.
The best-of-5 series is tied at 2-2 entering the deciding final game of the Miles Wolff Cup finals.
Milwaukee earned a 3-0 victory Wednesday night at Newman to force a Game 5. The RedHawks are trying to win their first league championship since 2010. F-M has a 4-0 record in elimination games during this postseason. Veteran left-hander Kevin McGovern is slated to start Game 5 for the RedHawks.
“These are the games you tend to remember all offseason and several years down the road," RedHawks manager Chris Coste said of Game 5. "What more could you ask if you are a fan of the league or a baseball fan to see the significance of (Thursday’s) game.”
