RedHawks can't turn hits into runs, blanked by Lincoln Saltdogs

Two Lincoln pitchers scattered nine Fargo-Moorhead hits as the Saltdogs took the second game of a three-game set on Wednesday.

LINCOLN, Neb. — Two Lincoln pitchers scattered nine hits and Lincoln blanked Fargo-Moorhead 8-0 on Wednesday before 2,701 at Haymarket Park.

Saltdogs starter Abdallah Aris allowed five hits in five innings, walking two and striking out four. Reliever Zach Keenan got the save, going the final four innings. He allowed four hits.

Lincoln's Nick Anderson was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double and two RBI, and Yanio Perez hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning.

The RedHawks' Manny Boscan and Alec Olund both had two hits and Dillon Thomas doubled.

The RedHawks and Saltdogs wrap up their series at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, May 25 in Lincoln.
