FARGO — Fargo-Moorhead won its fifth-straight home game, battering Sioux Falls arms in a 9-4 victory on Tuesday before 4,024 at Newman Outdoor Field.
The RedHawks led 4-2 after four innings but broke it open with a four-run sixth inning. Four RedHawks had multiple hit games and eight of their 12 hits went for extra bases.
Evan Alexander was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. John Silviano doubled and homered and drove in three runs, and Sam Dexter doubled and homered and drove in two. Peter Maris had two hits, including a triple, Leo Pina doubled and drove in a run and Drew Ward doubled.
In the first inning, Maris singled to lead off, Manny Boscan followed with a single, and Silviano doubled in both runners with two outs.
In the fourth, Dexter doubled with one out, Alec Olund walked and Alexander doubled them in to make it 4-2.

The RedHawks padded the lead with four more runs in the fifth. Drew Ward and Pina hit back-to-back doubles to score one run and Dexter hit a two-out, two-run home run. Olund drew another walk, moved to second on a passes ball and scored on Alexander's RBI single.
Silviano continued his hot hitting, launching his 17th home run of the year in the seventh.
Davis Feldman started and got the win, allowing four runs on 11 hits in 5-2/3 innings. Brady Stover relieved and worked 2-1/3 perfect innings, striking out four. Luke Lind set the Canaries down in order in the ninth.
The RedHawks maintained their 3-1/2 game lead over Kansas City in the American Association's West Division. F-M's 54-28 record is tops in the AA.
The RedHawks and Canaries play the third game of a four-game set at 7:02 p.m. Wednesday, at Newman.
