FARGO — A signature Bobcat won't be taking to Newman Outdoor Field on Wednesday, Aug. 11, after it was stolen Sunday.
The RedHawks lease a Bobcat-branded Utility Terrain Vehicle every year and use it during every home game. Surveillance video of the crime was recorded, and the team is hopeful they will get it back.
Footage shared exclusively with WDAY News shows that just after 10 p.m. Sunday, a person entered under the field and drove away with the UTV.
RedHawks president Brad Thom said they believe this same man was caught on camera hours earlier multiple times.
"When we change the bags — one time per game — we have the UTV out there with a Bobcat, and we love it, and we miss it," Thom said. "We want it back."

Thom also said this is the first major theft the stadium has ever had to deal with.
"We're installing even more video cameras," he said. "We do have some cameras around, and we (have) three different systems, but we're going to be upgrading that. It's just a sad thing that you have to do it, but if it happens, we want to make sure we catch somebody."
The RedHawks are urging anyone who might have seen the Bobcat or know anything about the suspect to contact the Fargo Police.
