GLYNDON - There is no love lost between Park Rapids and D-G-F. The Panthers have dominated their opponents over the last four seasons, winning 81 of 84 games against teams other than the Rebels.
But the four-time 8AA section champions D-G-F proved once again to be too much for Park Rapids.
Early in the game it appeared the Panthers were ready to break through, jumping out to a 4-0 lead through four innings.
The Rebels rallied in the 5th inning, plating five runs to take the lead.
The game came down to the wire, tied at five in the bottom of the seventh. D-G-F senior Kiarra Summers bunted and the throw to first base for Park Rapids sailed into right field, allowing Skylar Spessard to score from first and win the game, 6-5.
