GRAND FORKS -- Red River golfer Braelyn Liang always has to be steady on the golf course. It’s part of the reason she’s improved her average score by nine strokes in the last year.
"Over the summer I've just been practicing coming out to the range and stuff," the senior Roughrider said. "Trying to spend time actually playing courses and, I know this is my senior year so I wanted to try to improve and be the best I can be."
She also plays soccer for her high school.
It's away from the greens and the pitch where that steady mentality comes in handy. She’s a 4.0 student and also competes in HOSA, an organization dedicated to helped students who are interested in a career in the medical field.
"I was like you know what, I'm going to make the most of my high school, and I feel like joining these different clubs will help give me opportunities later in life," Liang said.

To work in medicine, you need to be a servant. And that's exactly who her teammates say Liang is.
“She's supportive, she is encouraging, always positive," said teammate Lily Bredemeier. "Never not a good teammate."
