CALGARY, Alberta - The Calgary Vipers scored 10 runs in the third inning Tuesday en route to a 10-3 victory over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in Northern League baseball.
The RedHawks' second-half lead in the North Division dropped to four games after the Winnipeg Goldeyes defeated the Edmonton Cracker-Cats 7-1.
The first eight Vipors hitters reached safely in the third inning of Tuesday on four singles, a double, a triple, a home run and walk. Calgary sent 14 men to the plate in the inning, collecting nine hits.
Meanwhile, Calgary starter Scott Sarver limited Fargo-Moorhead to three hits and one run in eight innings.
Billy Munoz drove in two runs for the RedHawks (24-13 second half).

Mark Michael took the loss for F-M, giving up 10 runs on 11 hits in 2Zc innings.
On Monday, Calgary scored three times in the first inning en route to an 11-8 win.
Munoz and Kory Wayment were ejected in the game, forcing Mike Peschel to play first and Doug Young second.
