FARGO — The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, playing as the visiting team at Newman Outdoor Field for the first time in 2020, managed only five hits against Winnipeg’s four pitchers in a 7-1 American Association baseball loss Tuesday night.
Goldeyes starter Kevin Hilton gave up just one unearned run on two hits over five innings. McKenzie Mills, Evan Grills, and Nate Antone combined to give up three hits for the remaining four innings.
Fargo-Moorhead’s lone run came when right fielder Trey Hair advanced to first on an error, stole second and third base and scampered home on a wild pitch in the top of the fifth inning.
Winnipeg improves to 3-1 while the RedHawks fall to 1-3.
