
Down 3-0 after three innings, the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks needed to pull off a home opener comeback.
They did just that. The RedHawks scored the game's final four runs, including a ninth-inning RBI single from Manny Boscan to walk-off Milwaukee, 4-3.
Fargo-Moorhead scored two runs in the eighth inning to tie it up before putting runners on the corners in the ninth with just one out. Boscan then put a fly ball into right field that landed for the game-winning hit. >>> Full story here.

Central Cass tops Kindred-Richland in Region 1 softball championship

The Region 1 softball tournament didn't go as smoothly as Central Cass had planned.
In the title game, the Squirrels overcame a slow start to top No. 2 seed Kindred-Richland 4-2 for the region crown.
The No. 1-ranked, No. 1-seeded, three-time defending Class B state champions were stunned by No. 4 seed Hankinson-Fairmount-Rosholt-Campbell/Tintah-Lidgerwood on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the double-elimination tournament held at the Olsen Softball Complex. It was only the Squirrels' fourth loss this season and second region loss to a Pirates team they had previously toppled 17-0 on May 13. >>> Full story here.
