The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks will honor former center fielder Joe Mathis with a ceremony before their 6 p.m. game on Aug. 8 against Joliet at Newman Outdoor Field.
Mathis will sign autographs during the second and third innings, and fans will receive a commemorative Joe Mathis souvenir.
Reserved tickets for the game will be $7 in honor of Mathis' former jersey number.
Mathis, 34, finished with 1,594 hits in a 16-year minor league career.
The RedHawks leadoff hitter and center fielder from 2003-08, Mathis was named Northern League MVP in 2006.
