Report: Quarterback who faced Bison in title game arrested after domestic violence report

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - Jacksonville State quarterback Eli Jenkins was arrested early Wednesday morning after a report of domestic violence, the Anniston Star reported on its website.Jenkins, a redshirt junior, was taken into custody just before 1 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - Jacksonville State quarterback Eli Jenkins was arrested early Wednesday morning after a report of domestic violence, the Anniston Star reported on its website .

Jenkins, a redshirt junior, was taken into custody just before 1 a.m. after officers responded to a call on campus, the Anniston Star reported.

The 21-year-old quarterback faced North Dakota State in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision title game Jan. 9 in Frisco, Texas.

Alabama state law requires those connected with a domestic violence incident to be held for a minimum of 24 hours, the Star reported.
