After being placed on waivers by the New York Mets Monday, Fargoan Chris Coste was reportedly claimed by the Washington Nationals.

Coste, who played for the 2008 World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies, finished last season with the Houston Astros. He was a catcher on the Mets' spring training roster.

The Fargo South High School and Concordia College graduate played for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks from 1996 to 1999.
