Fargo South junior Laura Roesler took first place in the 800 meters at the Nike Indoor Nationals at the Reggie Lewis Sports and Athletic Center in Boston last weekend.
Roesler finished the race in 2 minutes, 8.8 seconds. She needed a late kick to win the race, overtaking Stephanie Brown (2:08.97) of Bloomington, Ill., in the final meters.
West Fargo junior Ellie Grooters finished in 26th place in the 400 with a time of 59.24 seconds.
