AZUSA, Calif.-North Dakota State sophomore Kennedi Sand leads the Bison women's track and field athletes in the heptathlon after the opening day of competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Wednesday.
Sand had personal bests in the high jump (5 feet, 5 1/4 inches) and 200 meters (26.92 seconds), scoring 2,833 points through four events.
Senior Jaelin Beachy also achieved personal bests in the high jump and 200, posting marks of 4-10.25 and 26.39, respectively.
