Oklahoma Baptist 90, MSUM 87 (2OT)

SHAWNEE, Okla. — Oklahoma Baptist downed the Dragons in a double overtime thriller in nonconference play Saturday at the GAC-NSIC Challenge.

Dane Zimmer had a double-double with 21 points and 15 rebounds to lead a balanced Dragons scoring attack. Zimmer shot 10 of 14 from the field. Gavin Baumgartner poured in 20 points and dished out four assists off the bench. Bryce Irsfeld notched 16 points, four assists and two steals. Jacob Beeninga had 16 points, five rebounds and five steals.

Brantly Thompson scored a game-high 26 points and dished out six assists to lead Oklahoma Baptist (2-0). Burke Putnam added 25 points, 15 rebounds and five assists.

The Dragons (2-3) next host Crown College at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Concordia 66, Martin Luther 64

MOORHEAD — Braeton Motschenbacher scored an efficient 19 points to help lift Concordia past Martin Luther in nonconference action at Memorial Auditorium.


Motschenbacher shot 9 of 12 from the field to go with five rebounds and two steals. Rowan Nelson scored 14 points and grabbed four boards. Ryan Slette added six points and four rebounds off the bench.

Joseph Hirsch scored 15 points to lead Martin Luther (0-4).

The Cobbers improved to 1-1 overall. Concordia is scheduled to open Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Carleton.


Green Bay 71, NDSU 54

GREEN BAY, Wis. — A strong second half helped Green Bay defeat North Dakota State in nonconference action.

The Bison trailed 33-32 at the half but were outscored 38-22 in the second half.

Green Bay's Meghan Pingel scored 22 points and had nine assists.

NDSU's Heaven Hamling scored 20 points and Ryan Cobbins had 10 points and five rebounds.

The Bison are 1-1 overall and play their first home game against Northern Iowa at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17.


Central Missouri 73, MSUM 53

WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Minnesota State Moorhead held a seven-point halftime lead, but No. 6 Central Missouri surged in the second half for the nonconference win at the Region Challenge.

The Dragons led 36-29 at halftime. Central Missouri outscored MSUM 44-17 in the second half.

Peyton Boom and Natalie Jens each scored 15 points to lead the Dragons. Natalie Steichen dished out four assists. Boom added six rebounds and blocked two shots, and Jens tallied three steals.

Nija Collier tallied a game-high 26 points and 19 rebounds to lead Central Missouri (3-2). Brooke Littrell added 21 points and 11 boards. The two combined to shoot 16 of 28 from the field.

MSUM (0-2) is off until Nov. 23 when the Dragons host Northern State to open Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play.

Concordia 63, St. Catherine 58

MOORHEAD — A strong first half sparked Concordia to a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win over St. Catherine at Memorial Auditorium.

The Cobbers held a 30-22 lead at halftime. Emily Beseman scored a game-high 24 points with six rebounds and six assists to lead the Cobbers. Beseman shot 5 of 9 from 3-point range. Mary Sem scored 12 points and grabbed five boards. Vanessa Kedl scored 10 points off the bench for Concordia.

Sam Orth scored nine points to lead St. Catherine (1-2, 0-1 MIAC).


Concordia (1-1, 1-0) next plays at Carleton at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
