Logan Schmitz hit a home run and had two RBIs to help Fargo Post 2 salvage a doubleheader split against Aberdeen on Wednesday in American Legion baseball play at Jack Williams Stadium.
Andrew Fritz pitched five shutout innings in Fargo's 10-0, five-inning victory in Game 2. Fritz tossed a six-hitter, striking out three and walking two.
Post 2's Rick Tweiten went 2-for-3 with two runs in the second game.
Aberdeen's Josh Lunzman had two hits and three RBIs during his team's 7-3 win in Game 1.
Billy Sholl went 2-for-3 for Fargo.

Post 2 is scheduled to play host to the Moorhead Blues in a doubleheader at 5:30 p.m. today.

HAWLEY, Minn. - Brady Harms threw a one-hit shutout to lead Hawley to a 1-0 victory against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton in an American Legion baseball game Wednesday night.

Harms pitched seven innings, striking out three and walking two. He also added an RBI single in the game.
Andrew VanHavermaet added two hits for Hawley.
