BROOKINGS, S.D. — South Dakota State used a late first-half splurge to spark an 87-66 victory over the University of North Dakota in Summit League men's basketball Wednesday night at Frost Arena.
SDSU went on a 27-5 run in the closing minutes of the first half to pull away with a 20-point lead.
Douglas Wilson led the Jackrabbits (14-7, 5-1 SL) with 22 points on 9 of 15 shooting. Noah Freidel tallied 16 points and six rebounds, and Matt Mims added 14 points off the bench.
Marlon Stewart paced UND with 17 points, adding seven rebounds and a team-high three assists. Kienan Walter chipped in 15 points and a pair of blocked shots. De'Sean Allen-Eikens had 14 points and two blocks, and Filip Rebraca totaled nine points and a team-best 13 rebounds.

UND (8-11, 2-3) is slated to next play rival North Dakota State at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, in Fargo.
