FARGO - Minnesota State Moorhead had three individuals and one women's relay team qualified for the NCAA Division II track and field nationals at the Bison Invitational on Saturday.
Anna VanWechel qualified in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4 minutes, 23.91 seconds. VanWechel's time broke the old school record by 7 seconds. She is ranked No. 1 in Division II.
Luke Buchholz qualified for nationals in the decathlon with a score of 6,353, earning him a third-place finish at the invite.
Malory Stier earned a top 20 ranking in the hammer throw with a toss of 168 feet, 3 inches.
The Dragons' 400 relay team of Marry Tanoe, Kendra Mooberry, Karlene Lorenz and Nicole Hall, qualified with a time of 46.87.
