FARGO — Fargo Shanley High School head girls tennis coach Sam Burns is stepping down from his position, Shanley activities director Michael Breker announced in a press release.
Burns had been the head girls tennis coach for the last six years and spent nine years total with the program. Furthermore, he was an active coach within the boys tennis and middle school boys basketball programs. Burns was named co-coach of the year for the Eastern Dakota Conference in 2016.
"We appreciate the positive impact he had on his students and the dedication he showed to our school," the release read. "We wish coach Burns the best in his future teaching and coaching endeavors."
