FARGO - Another in-state volleyball standout from North Dakota is heading to the University of North Dakota.
Fargo Shanley junior Alivia Fraase verbally committed to the school on Thursday.
"I think UND is a good fit for me," Fraase said. "After touring the campus and meeting all the coaches and players, it just felt like home."
Fraase, a 6-foot middle hitter, helped the Deacons to a 24-10 record in 2012 and a regular-season Eastern Dakota Conference championship.
At the Class A state tournament, the Deacons finished fifth, with Fraase earning both all-tournament team and all-state first team honors.

Fraase - a two-time All-EDC selection - has played on the varsity squad since her freshman year and has more than 700 career kills.
"She always has been a leader and team player from Day 1," Shanley head coach Curtis Johnson said. "She has matured a lot as a player after playing with seniors the last two seasons, and now I feel she is just ready to play."
Fraase also visited North Dakota State and Creighton in Omaha, Neb.
Fraase is the third local athlete to commit to play volleyball at UND in the last year. Former Kindred standout Kellie Schmit, who will be a freshman at UND this fall, and Central Cass senior Faith Dooley gave their commitments last school year.
"It's nice having the decision out of the way and a big weight is off my shoulders," Fraase said. "I knew I wanted to play volleyball in college, so it is a relief to get it done, and I'm excited about it."
UND has seven in-state players on its 2013 roster.
