FARGO — The Fargo Force and Sioux City Musketeers combined for three goals in the first two minutes of the third period but the Musketeers had two of them and went on to a 6-2 win Friday at Scheels Arena.
After no scoring for about half the game, Sioux City's Owen McLaughlin broke the drought with a goal at 8:12 of the second period. Fargo's Andre Gasseau tied it with his 11th goal of the season at 16:53 of the second on an assist from Bryan Huggins.
Sioux City regained the lead on Charlie Schoen's goal 21 seconds into the third period, but Fargo tied it again 26 seconds later when Gasseau set up Cole Knuble's 10th goal of the year.
But Schoen struck again at 1:51 of the first for a 3-2 lead and McLaughlin scored his second of the game at 11:51.
Sioux City's Ben Steeves scored unassisted at 18:26 and Tomi Leppanen added the final goal at 19:26.
The Force and the Musketeers play again at 6:05 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at Scheels Arena.
