Following a disappointing December, the University of North Dakota men's hockey team cotinues to build on a terrific January.

The Sioux, who had a win and a tie against Western Collegiate Hockey Association leader Denver this past weekend in Grand Forks, climbed three more sports in this week's NCAA Division I Ice Hockey Poll.

UND is now ranked 12th after being out of the poll just three weeks ago.

The Sioux (15-10-3) are currently one point behind Denver in the WCHA standings with 23 points. UND is at St. Cloud State for a two-game series starting Friday in St. Cloud, Minn.

Minnesota, who had this past weekend off, is the top-ranked WCHA team at No. 5, with Denver slipping three spots to No. 7.
