Sioux Falls powers past RedHawks to earn home victory

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have unveiled a commemorative logo for their 25th baseball season in 2020.

SIOUX FALLS — Clint Coulter and Mike Hart each drove in three runs to lead the Sioux Falls Canaries to a 9-4 victory on Sunday, Aug. 23, in American Association baseball at Sioux Falls Stadium.

Coulter went 3-for-4 and also scored a run. Hart was 2-for-4, including a home run. The Canaries scored two runs in the seventh inning and added three more in the eighth to pull away from F-M.

Leo Pina and Sam Dexter each belted home runs and drove in two runs apiece to lead the RedHawks. Pina went 2-for-4.

Sioux Falls starter Tyler Herron pitched eight innings, allowing four earn runs on nine hits, to earn the victory.

The RedHawks (17-27) have an off day Monday. They next host the Winnipeg Goldeyes at 7:02 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Newman Outdoor Field.
