JAMESTOWN — Concordia's Brendan Koplin scored an unassisted goal in the sixth minute of overtime as the Cobbers defeated Jamestown 4-3 in their season-opener Saturday.

Both teams scored in a flurry after the Cobbers Michael Matthews recorded the game's only goal in the first 65 minutes. Concordia's Sondre Rygg made it 2-0 Cobbers in the 66th minute on an assist from Matthews.

But Jamestown tied the game with two goals in an eight-minute span, and after Concordia's Telvin Vah scored unassisted to reestablish the lead, Jamestown's Hendrik Romahn scored to tie the game at 3-3 in the 84th minute.
