WINONA, Minn. — Concordia scored two first-half goals, then slammed the door late to defeat St. Mary's 3-1 on Sunday at Ochrymowycz Field.

The Cobbers' Patrick Smith scored on a penalty kick in the 14th minute and Alan Morocho set up a Brendan Koplin goal in the 40th minute to put the Cobbers up 2-0 at the break.

After St. Mary's Eli Szymanski scored in the 80th minute to cut the margin to one, Concordia's Nate Weaver scored in the 85th minute on an assist from Telvin Vah. Concordia held a 15-5 advantage in shots.

The Cobbers are 4-1 overall and play their final game at St. Olaf at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 1.
