Fargo Shanley 16, Northern Cass 14
FARGO — Fargo Shanley topped Northern Cass on Saturday in the Class A and B Invitational Classic at Mickelson Field.
The Deacons improved to 7-5 overall, while Northern Cass fell to 6-9.
Central Cass 13, Fargo Shanley 2 (5 innings)
FARGO — Central Cass pushed its winning streak to 14 games as the Squirrels breezed to victory over Shanley in the Class A and B Invitational.
Crysta Schanzenbach tallied a hit and an RBI for the Deacons. Maria Sornsin had a hit and a run scored.
Belle Linnard went 2-for-4 with four RBIs for the Squirrels. Josie Buhr was 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBIs.
Shanley dropped to 7-6 this season, while the Squirrels improved to 15-1.
Fargo South 18, Kindred 17
FARGO — South and Kindred combined for 35 runs and 42 hits as the Bruins came out on top in the Class A and B Invitational. Each team totaled 21 hits.
Adie Wagner went 4-for-5 with two runs and six RBIs to pace the Bruins. Kylee Fike went 3-for-4 with three runs and four RBIs. Chloe Bry went 3-for-5 and drove home three runs. Madelyn Esterby chipped in three runs and two RBIs.
The Vikings were led by Bren Koppang, who went 2-for-4 with four runs and three RBIs. Madi Olien added four hits, two runs and two RBIs.
South improved to 3-6 overall. The Vikings dropped to 8-8 overall.
Fargo Davies 11, Northern Cass 10 (8 innings)
FARGO — Davies edged Northern Cass in extra innings in the Class A and B Invitational.
Jenna Leingang picked up the win on the mound for the Eagles.
Davies improved to 4-11 overall, while Northern Cass dropped to 6-10.
Fargo North 13, Kindred 3 (5 innings)
FARGO — North cruised past Richland in five innings in the Class A and B Invitational.
Kindred fell to 8-9 overall and North improved to 8-10.
Hillsboro-Central Valley 14, Fargo Davies 6 (6 innings)
FARGO — Hillsboro-Central Valley cruised to a six-inning victory over Davies in the Class A and B Invitational.
Graciela Contreras and Madison Brown each pitched for Davies.
The Eagles fell to 4-12 overall and the Burros improved to 9-7.
Central Cass 5, Fargo North 4
FARGO — Central Cass edged Faro Davies in the Class A and B Invitational.
Sophia Ochoa scored a run and had three RBIs to pace the Spartans.
Central Cass improved to 16-1 overall and North fell to 8-11.
Big Lake 2, Moorhead 0
HUTCHINSON, Minn. — Big Lake tallied a shutout win over Moorhead.
Drew Syverson was the losing pitcher for the Spuds.
Moorhead fell to 5-12 overall, while Big Lake rose to 5-8.
West Fargo 1, Bismarck Century 0
WEST FARGO — Despite accruing zero hits, West Fargo earned a shutout win over Bismarck Century. Game 2 of the doubleheader was rained out.
Maddie Zander threw a no-hitter for the Patriots, but hit Courtney Boll in the bottom of the sixth inning. Macy Weile pinch ran for Boll and came around to score on a wild pitch for the game’s lone run.
Boll gave up five hits with nine strikeouts to pick up the shutout win.
The Packers held a 5-2 lead after 2 1/2 innings before Game 2 was rained out. Tori Nichols-Kraft hit a two-run home run.
West Fargo improved to 14-5 overall, while Century dropped to 22-5.
Minot 15, 17, West Fargo Sheyenne 12, 18
WEST FARGO — Sixty-two runs crossed the plate as West Fargo Sheyenne and Minot split a nonconference doubleheader.
Sheyenne moved to 10-7 overall and Minot moved to 13-11.
